How to resize an image
Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image. Its original size in pixels appears, and you can type a new width or height. With Maintain aspect ratio ticked, the other side updates automatically so your picture never looks squashed. Click Resize image, check the preview, then download.
One-click presets for social media
Use the presets for common sizes: Instagram post (1080×1080), Instagram portrait (1080×1350), Stories and Reels (1080×1920), YouTube thumbnail (1280×720) and profile pictures (400×400 or 800×800). When the preset shape differs from your photo, pick Crop to fill to fill the frame without stretching, Fit inside to keep the whole picture with margins, or Stretch for an exact size.
Transparency and privacy
PNG and WebP output keep transparent backgrounds — ideal for logos and stickers. JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become white. All resizing runs locally in your browser; your image is never uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
Will resizing reduce quality?
Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. Making it much larger than the original cannot add detail, so it may look soft.
Does it keep transparent backgrounds?
Yes, when the output format is PNG or WebP. JPG output fills transparent areas with white.
What size is a YouTube thumbnail?
YouTube recommends 1280×720 pixels (16:9). Use the YouTube thumbnail preset.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The image is processed on your device and never sent to a server.
