How to build your CV in minutes

Fill in the form above with your name, job title, contact details, a short professional summary, your experience, education, skills and languages. For experience, put one job per line in the format Role — Company (dates) | key achievements. Choose a template — Classic, Modern or Elegant — and a CV language (English or Arabic). Click Update preview to see the formatted result, then Download PDF. Your browser's print dialog opens; select Save as PDF as the destination. Only the CV itself is printed — no menus or ads. Not sure where to start? Click Fill sample to see a complete example.

Your draft is saved automatically in your own browser, so you can close the page and come back later. Nothing is uploaded to any server.

What makes a great CV?

Recruiters often spend less than ten seconds on the first scan of a CV. A great CV is easy to skim, focused on results and tailored to the job. It should fit on one page for most candidates (two pages for senior professionals) and use a clean layout without tables, images or unusual fonts that confuse Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). All our templates use simple, ATS-friendly text structure.

Section-by-section tips

Professional summary

Two or three sentences that answer: who are you, what are you great at, and what value do you bring? Example: "Results-driven accountant with 6 years of experience in IFRS reporting and cost reduction across retail and healthcare."

Experience

List your most recent job first. Use action verbs (led, built, increased, reduced) and quantify results whenever possible: "Increased online sales by 35% in 6 months" is far stronger than "Responsible for online sales."

Education

Include degree, institution and graduation year. Recent graduates can add relevant projects, GPA or honors.

Skills

Mix hard skills (software, languages, certifications) with a few relevant soft skills. Mirror keywords from the job description so ATS software can match you.

Languages

In the Gulf and South Asia, bilingual candidates are highly valued. List each language with a level such as native, fluent or intermediate.

Arabic CVs and bilingual applications

Many employers in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Egypt accept or prefer Arabic CVs, especially for government and local roles. Switch the CV language to Arabic and the section headings and layout flip to right-to-left automatically. A smart strategy is to prepare both versions: an English CV for multinational companies and an Arabic CV for local employers. Write your content in the matching language in the form fields.

Choosing a template

Classic is safe for banking, law, government and engineering. Modern adds a color accent and suits tech, marketing and startups. Elegant uses a serif font and centered headings, a good fit for hospitality, education and creative roles. Whichever you choose, keep content consistent and concise.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Spelling and grammar errors — read it aloud before sending.
  • An unprofessional email address — create a simple firstname.lastname address.
  • Listing duties instead of achievements.
  • Including a photo, age or marital status when applying to countries where that is not expected.
  • Sending the same CV to every job — tailor keywords each time.
